The College of William & Mary’s YouTube channel recently posted a great “hype video” detailing the Zable Stadium renovation project. As most know by now, the project will begin after the 2015 season, and is to be completed in time for the 2016 home opener. In case you missed the announcement in August, or if you just can’t get enough coverage of the new additions to Zable (like we are!), be sure to check out this awesome video.
The clip includes commentary from head coach Jimmye Laycock, wide receiver Tre McBride, athletic director Terry Driscoll, president Taylor Reveley, and others on the renovation project and what it means to the College. As a part of the $22 million dollar renovation, “the renovated stadium will have improved safety and accessibility features – including wider aisles, renovation of existing and addition of new restroom facilities, improved egress lighting, additional hand rails, an upgraded sound system, additional concession and retail locations, and a new entrance and ticketing location.”
A new seating plan is expected to be announced this Spring. Check out the video and pictures below!
Below are some mock ups of the new additions. Leave a comment and let us know what you think! LET’S GO TRIBE!!!
Go Tribe! Can’t wait to see the team play in the renovated Zable.
Would love to see the new plan retain end zone seating! Keeps the fans close to players and promotes interaction between the two! Looking forward to it!
