William & Mary Wide Receiver Tre McBride was invited to the East West Shrine game soon after the Tribe’s season ended. The Shrine Game is an annually played, collegiate all-star game. In the game, collegiate all-stars selected from the East are matched up to play against all-stars from the West.
The week of practice leading up to the game itself attract loads of NFL scouts and talent evaluators. The picture above is from Monday’s practice, and shows Tre making a grab while donning his patented “#3” jersey.
McBride has been mentioned in several news outlets already, including this snippet in Bleacher Report, an article from Roto World, and an outstanding article from CBS Sports about Tre’s performance after the first day of practice. We have seen NFL mock drafts where Tre has been projected as high as a 5th round draft pick. Only time will tell where he will wind up, but the East West Shrine Game is an ideal situation for McBride– he will be able to showcase his abilities on a national stage against some great competition. Below are the details for the game, be sure to tune in and root on Tre this Saturday! GO TRIBE!!!
